  • PA to Head of School

Pioneer Educational Trust is seeking to appoint to the following roles for the right people to join our dynamic and committed Support Team.  Currently, the Trust Schools are Upton Court Grammar School in Slough, Trevelyan Middle School in Windsor and Foxborough Primary School in Langley.  The successful candidate must have a level 2 qualification in English and Maths.

Mon – Fri; 9.30am – 3pm (30 minutes lunch, unpaid), six meetings per year, one per term, starting at 6pm

The ideal candidate will have experience of working as a Personal Assistant within a school environment, however this is not essential. The position would suit someone who has the ability to work well under pressure whilst prioritising and working productively and efficiently. We are looking for a proactive, confident and reliable candidate with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic and a willingness to be adaptable and undertake a broad variety of tasks when required. The successful candidate will:

    • Provide professional, efficient administrative support to the Head of School/Head Teacher & Deputy Head of School
    • Be the first point of contact for those wishing to communicate/meet with the Head of School/Head Teacher and to respond professionally, positively and effectively
    • Ensure high quality communications from the Head of School/Head Teacher when dealing with staff, students and parents
    • Lead on the planning and organisation of whole school events, eg Open Evening, Prize Giving award ceremonies, whole school training events
    • Undertake general office, reception and administrative duties as required
    • Provide a fully confidential and effective administrative service to the Local Governing Body
    • Provide advice to the Local Governing Body on governance and procedural matters
    • Ensure the Local Governing Body is properly constituted

The school is changing rapidly, in many ways.  This will doubtless continue as the needs of society and our context change too.  It is never dull, often challenging, demanding in the best possible way - an exciting and extraordinarily worth-while and fulfilling place to be.
