Classics

A number of students take up or continue to pursue Classical Civilisation as part of their A-Level studies and many of those have gone on to study Classics or Ancient History at top Universities.  The topics studied vary with each course but may include topics based on Greek and Roman literature, philosophy, archaeology, architecture, art, history and politics.  Students continue to develop critical analysis and evaluation skills and an awareness of the continuing influence of the classical world on many aspects of our modern civilisation.  Units are assessed by exams at the end of Year 12 and Year 13.
