  • Learning Review Day will take place for all students on Wednesday 23rd October. Normal lessons will not take place on this day. For details of how to book a tutor appointment please refer to the correspondence sent to parents.
  • The Sixth Form Information Evening will take place on Tuesday 19th November 5.00-6.30pm. We look forward to welcoming prospective students to this event.
  • Mathematics

    Students in year 7 are taught Mathematics in their tutor groups and after the Base line test they are assigned sets according to their performance. Students in year 7 and 8 have five hours of Mathematics over fortnight and they study the four areas of Mathematics: Using and Applying Mathematics, Number and Algebra, Geometry and Statistics.

    Students are encouraged to be resilient and independent learners; they work independently and in groups using text books, projects, investigations, practical activities and make use of ICT, such as Autograph. Homework is set regularly and in a variety of ways: Projects, Worksheets, Revision tasks, on-line homework tasks.  After the end of year exam sets changes are applied.
