Students and staff at Upton Court Grammar School celebrated outstanding success on GCSE results day, with 100% of all students achieving five or more GCSE passes including English and Mathematics.
95% gained passes in eight or more subjects.
61% of all GCSEs awarded were grades A*/A and 9/8/7 (under the new numerical GCSE grading system). A third of the cohort achieved eight or more A*/A and 9/8 grades.
The new numerical grading system has introduced a new top grade 9, equivalent to a top A* grade; 25% of all mathematics students achieved this outstanding result.
