Upton Court Grammar School participated in the World's Biggest Coffee Morning to raise money for the MacMillan Cancer Research charity. Sixth form students baked a variety of cakes, led by A level Food Technology students, much to the delight of teachers who indulged during morning break.
Students baked through the night and made a range of classic cakes and pastries including chocolate cake, upside down pineapple cake, tarts, meringues and many more.
A total of £211 was raised, contributing to the national event, which raised almost £2m in 2014.
Upton Court Grammar School Principal Mercedes Hernandez Estrada said "Our students are committed to charitable giving and aware of the need to support worthy causes. It has been a pleasure seeing staff and students working together, baking and selling cakes for MacMillan Cancer Research"
