Year 13 students at Upton Court Grammar School bid an emotional farewell to staff and each other on Friday 13 May, marking the end of seven years at the school.
In a two hour long assembly, led by former Head Boy Joseph Chadwell, there were singing and dancing performances, speeches, awards and video clips celebrating students’ time at the school. Adorning fancy dress, the eighteen year old students reminisced about their experiences and successes, and wished each other well for the future.
Amongst the tears of joy, there was a strong sense of determination for the forthcoming A Level examinations, as most students hold conditional offers from a range of universities and degree courses.
Upton Court Grammar School Principal said “This was a very special leavers’ day made more so by the moving speeches and generosity of spirit of our wonderful Year 13 students. We will miss them and look forward to hearing about their future achievements.”
