  • A Level Results Day

Staff and students at Upton Court Grammar School celebrated A Level results day on Thursday 18 August with outstanding results across all subjects. With a pass-rate of 99%, most students achieved the grades needed to progress onto University to the course of their choice.

More than half of A levels awarded scored A* to B, with sixteen students achieving straight A* and A grades in all subjects.

Marking the end of seven years at the school, there were tears of joy as students contemplated moving onto University following their A Level successes. Jubilant student Harkirat Kler (18), who scored A*, A* and A in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry and confirmed his offer at Imperial College, University of London to read Physics, said “I am over the moon and am really looking forward to starting at such a great establishment, and am grateful for everything Upton Court has done to support my studies over the years”.

Upton Court Grammar School Principal Mercedes Hernandez Estrada said “These excellent results are a credit to our students for their talent and effort but it would not have been possible without the support of the teachers and tutors whose subject knowledge and expertise allowed our young people to shine.”
