2026 GCSE & A’ Level Results

Upton Court Grammar School is delighted to announce another year of outstanding GCSE and A’ Level results, from summer 2026:

At GCSE, 100% of all candidates achieved 5 or more passes between grades 9-4, including English and Mathematics.

An impressive 53% of students achieved the highest grades (grades 9-8). 76% of all GCSEs awarded were grades 9/8/7 grades. In addition, 26% of all GCSE exam entries achieved a Grade 9.

At A’ level: An incredible 48% of all grades were A*-A. 74% of grades awarded were an A* to B grade, with 52 students achieving Three A grades or above. 79% of outgoing Year 13 students have accepted a university place with 52% enrolling on courses at Russell Group universities.

Upton Court Grammar School is delighted to announce another year of outstanding GCSE and A’ Level results, from summer 2025:

At GCSE, 100% of all candidates achieved 5 or more passes between grades 9-4, including English and Mathematics.

82% of all GCSEs awarded were grades 9/8/7 grades, and 62% of all GCSE exam entries achieved grades 9/8. In addition, 33% of all GCSE exam entries achieved a Grade 9.

At A’ level, 76% of grades awarded were an A* to B grade, with 56 students achieving three A grades or above. 80% of outgoing Year 13 students have accepted a university place with 60% enrolling on courses at Russell Group universities.

Upton Court Grammar School is delighted to announce another year of outstanding GCSE and A’ Level results, from summer 2024

100% of all GCSE candidates achieved 5 or more passes between grades 9-4, including English and Mathematics.74% of all GCSEs awarded were grades 9/8/7 grades, and 52% of all GCSE exam entries achieved a grade 9/8. In addition, 25% of all GCSE exam entries achieved a grade 9.

At A’ Level, 37% of all grades were an A* to A Grade, 63% of grades awarded were an A* to B grade with 34 students achieving three A grades or above. 80% of outgoing Year 13 students have accepted a university place with 47% enrolling on courses at Russell group universities. A further 3 students have been successful in securing a degree apprenticeship. UCGS will continue to support the remaining students in their continued education and or employment as Year 14 students.

Upton Court Grammar School is delighted to announce another year of outstanding GCSE and A’ level results, from summer 2023.

98.2% of all GCSE candidates achieved 5 or more passes between grades 9-4, including English and Mathematics.

67% of all GCSEs awarded were grades 9/8/7 grades, and 47% of all GCSE exam entries achieved a grade 9/8. In addition, 24% of all GCSE exam entries achieved a grade 9. At Upton Court Grammar School, we have a proud tradition of Year 11 students attending our Sixth Form.  For the academic year 2023-2024, 77% of our Year 11 students enrolled on A’ level courses at our Sixth Form following the completion of their GCSE qualifications.  The other 23% of students are continuing their education at alternative education providers.

At  A’ Level, 41% of all grades were an A* to A Grade, 71% of grades awarded were an A* to B grade with forty students achieving three A grades or above. 84% of outgoing Year 13 students have accepted a university place with 50% enrolling on courses at Russell group universities. A further 2 students have been successful in securing a degree apprenticeship. UCGS will continue to support the remaining students in their continued education and or employment as Year 14 students.

Upton Court Grammar School is delighted to announce another year of outstanding GCSE and A’ level results, from summer 2022

100% of all GCSE candidates achieved 5 or more passes between grades 9 – 4 (A*-C), including English and Maths.  67% of all GCSEs awarded were 9/8/7 grades, and 54% of students achieved eight or more 9-7 grades.

With regards the numerical grading system, grade 8 represents a low A* and 9 represents a high A*.  Approximately 43% of grades achieved a grade 8 or 9. In addition, approximately 19% of all GCSE exam entries achieved a grade 9.  For the academic year 2022-2023, 75% of our Year 11 students enrolled on A’ level courses at our Sixth Form following the completion of their GCSE qualifications.

At A’ level, approximately 73% of all qualifications awarded scored A* to B, with Forty two students achieving three A grades or above.

88% of outgoing KS5 students have accepted a university place with 50% enrolling on courses at Russell group universities.
